Usually railway lines stretching off into the distance seems overdone and borig, but I like this.... the train fading into the fog is an excellent take on that.
Kudos for finding this place and capturing the image!
lol... coincidently me and feline just went on a phototrip yesterday... we first drove around New West and found nothing... so we decided to take pic of skytrain afterwards haha i guess its trial and error for finding photo spots oh where did ya live again? if i remember correctly somewhere pass Coquitlam.. like PMeadows, MRidge, POCO... forgot XO
omg no i do not live out in the boonies! im not far from new west actually.. u know middlegate mall near edmonds st? now its called high gate mall and its pimpin! hehehe.. but i live by linden and imperial in bby... down kingsway from metro or ... well theres other directions i can give u!
where do YOU live? i forgot too...
are u boonie-town boy?! BOYS?!?! HEHEHE
I saw all the winners of the contest and to me this is my favorite one. I'm not a photographer so when I look at photography I just appreciate the aestethics. This one stands out from all the others because of the mood.. Usually, subway themed photos are all dynamic, full of life, full of colour, yet this one is sad, soft, gentle, quiet... the place almost looks abandoned.. the atmosphere is incredible... Well, basically, I love this
I really like this photo, a great shot with a very good athmosphere... radiates a sort of sad, melancholic feeling, depression and resignation...all this captured within this one photo of a never ending train. the mist and this pattern-kind of look gives it a great depth too
And I thought all coquitlam has is a bunch of houses on a hill...
Must visit there soon... I'm at ubc so all the shots i ever make are at ubc.. this motivates me to start running around! excellent shot
